In case you needed a reminder, it’s recommended by the ADA to change your electric toothbrush head or manual toothbrush every 3 months.
Wanna know why?
🪥 The bristles wear out over time. Majority of people brush w a y harder than needed, leading to frayed toothbrush bristles. If your toothbrush bristles are frayed, they aren’t effectively cleaning your teeth.
🚨Pro tip: brushing with your non-dominant hand can help prevent brushing too hard!
🪥 Bacteria build up also accumulates over time and the best way to get rid of that, is just to replace it and start fresh.
🚨An easy way to remember to change your toothbrush head is to plan for quarterly swap outs and to sign up for subscription deliveries to ensure you won’t miss a date.
And remember, our office is only part of the equation to a healthy mouth. The other half comes from your routines at home.
