Potty Training with Ms. Amber I am a mother and a grandmother. I have been working as a preschool/school age teacher since 2002. During my time as a teacher, I have potty trained children.

I am a sibling of 11 children in my family also. I have worked with children since February 2002 as a preschool/school age teacher. I have potty trained more people that are in your family. Since I have potty trained so many children, I thought I should open my own business. I hope that if you need any help, you will reach out to me.

Is your child having potty accidents?
Your child might have FOMO, Fear of missing out. How can you take care of the problem?
Take care child shopping for three things; a bell, a timer and a basket. Allow your child to pick all three items.

1. The timer is for your child to turn on to remind him to go to the bathroom and also be in control of the situation.
2. The basket is for your child to put in the toy(s) that they are playing with so they feel that their toy(s) will not be moved or taken away.
3. The bell is for your child to ring every time they use the potty. Each time your child goes potty they get to ring the bell. If your child went p**py, your child gets to run around the house ringing the bell and say that they went p**py in the potty. And at that time you give your child a lot of praise.

I don't believe in treasure boxes or the sticker system for every time that a child uses the bathroom. It is part of life and development of a child. If you still want to make a big thing out of it, after a few days or weeks of them using the bathroom take them out for a treat and say thank you for being a great son/daughter.

Always praise your child with words or hugs because materials things only last awhile. Praise and a hug lasts for a lifetime.

Potty training tip:

Here is some information about autism you might want to know. It is now by levels instead of saying what type of autism you or your child might have. This could also cause for your child to have problems with potty training.

This information I got from https://infinitycenteraba.org/the-three-functional-levels-of-autism/.

As you may know, Autism is a spectrum disorder that affects individuals in different ways. The three functional levels of Autism are a way to categorize the severity of the disorder and help identify the level of support an individual may need.

Level 1: Requiring Support

Individuals with Level 1 Autism require some support in social situations, communication, and sensory processing. They may struggle with social interactions and need some assistance in understanding social cues and building friendships. They may also have difficulty with transitions and changes in routines.

Level 2: Requiring Substantial Support

Individuals with Level 2 Autism require substantial support in social situations, communication, and sensory processing. They may have difficulty with communication and require assistance in understanding nonverbal cues and developing language skills. They may also struggle with self-regulation and have sensory sensitivities.

Level 3: Requiring Very Substantial Support

Individuals with Level 3 Autism require very substantial support in social situations, communication, and sensory processing. They may have limited verbal communication skills and rely on nonverbal communication, such as gestures or pictures. They may also have significant sensory sensitivities and struggle with self-regulation.

It’s important to remember that each person with Autism is unique and may not fit neatly into one of these categories. However, understanding the three functional levels of Autism can help us provide appropriate support and accommodations to individuals on the autism spectrum. Let’s work together to create a more inclusive and understanding world for everyone!

Sometimes we might feel overwhelmed with potty training our child. We might feel that it will never happen because they our child is not allowing us to potty train them.

Step back for a minute and breathe. Think about the advice that you may have gotten from someone that has had a child that they have potty trained. Their advice might have not worked for you. Just remember sometimes we need to step back and take in what we might be doing right or wrong.

Don't get upset with the child. Make them know that they are a superhero by helping other children by giving away their pull ups to help others who are about to transition into potty training.

If you have any questions please DM me.

Potty training tip:
Some of us feel that we might be failing as a parent with our child's potty training adventure. Are we trying to hard? Why am I frustrated with my child not using the potty? How can I get my child to use the potty?

Here are some tips:
1. Create a day to day schedule.
2. Limit food and drinks with caffeine.
3. Avoid sugary drinks.
4. Waking your child once at night to urinate.
5. Provide emotional support.

Remember that you do not have to bribe your child, even give them a treat after each time that they have to use the potty. This is part of life that is new to them.

Make sure that your child is comfortable in the restroom by talking to them about what we do when we use the restroom to go potty. Let them flush the toilet before using the potty to let them know that the sound is part of the toilet, and where their urine goes.
Explain to your child that p**p and urine helps our body get the bad stuff out of our body so that we are in good health.

This may be a lot of information to take, but I want you to have a wonderful potty training adventure with your child.

If you have any questions please DM me or send me an email to pottytrainingwithms.amber@gmail.com

Potty training tips:

It's time for our weekly potty training tips. I hope this had helped you all.

Do you know your average bladder capacity?
For the age of a...
2 year old is 110ml. = 3.7 oz.
3 year old is 135ml.= 4.6oz.
4 year old is 175 ml.= 5.9 oz.

it is not even a full glass of water.

The "Magic Age" for potty training is about 22 months= 1 yr and 10 months.

When you are about to introduce potty training to your child, take them on a tour of the bathroom and explain what we do in the bathroom. You might have to even show them what to do by going potty yourself so your child will not be scared to use the restroom.

Then take your child on a special date. Take them shopping for a potty chair, underwear and a timer. Let your child pick all the things that you are shopping for.

To get more information or you need help with potty training please DM me.

Potty training tip:

Nocturnal Enuresis (Involuntary Urination)
Bed wetting for children beyond age 5 effects 5 to 7 millions children in the U.S., more common in males.
Some children are ashamed of it. I wet the bed till I was 14 years of age.

There are some causes that might cause your child in delay of their development with bed wetting:
1. Bladder size; not enough space to hold urine.
2. Kidney; More urine is produced more at night.
3. Brain; Deeper sleep causing the person not recognizing that they need to go potty.

There could been many factors that is also causing this;
1. Genetics
2. Constipation
3. Stress; Moving, changes in family dynamics and schooling.

I do offer my services with families that are wanting to potty train their child. I will work with the family by text, phone calls and by email. If you want to get in touch with me, please DM or email me at pottytrainingwithms.amber@gmail.com.

Good morning,
I know a lot of you know that I have had some skin allergies really bad last year. I found out that I am allergic to some chemicals. Today, I decided to go over some of the lotions that my doctor told me that I can use before I found out what chemicals that I am allergic to. Well, I had to throw them away. I found out that my lotions had some propylene glycol in it, which I am allergic to. I have had no really bad reaction thank goodness.
I love using my Yuka app! Due to, if I scan something it will tell me if it has anything that I am allergic to and if it does it gives some recommendations of other products to use.
So If you have a chemical or food allergy, I want to recommend two apps to use, Yuka and Fig. I am so happy that they were recommended to me by friends of mine. There is a yearly fee for it but it is so worth it.
