I earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Ohio State College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, in 1980 and completed Family Medicine Residency at St. Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, with an added Qualification in Sports Medicine and licensed in 3 states- NY,PA and CO. After residency to I practiced Emergency Medicine, as well as Family Medicine, including OB in rural Pennsylvania prior to returning to The Capital Saratoga Region in 1991. Became the inaugural member of the Saratoga Hospital Hospitalist Program, then joined a private practice in Saratoga Springs from 2001 – 2008. and also worked for OrthoNY as a Sports Clinic physician, in a per diem role. Established Saratoga Regional Sports Medicine, PLLC in 2014 providing consultation to multiple school districts on student health, sports and concussion management. I transitioned to a hospital based practice to allow time to pursue further education in concussion management and volunteer with USA Boxing. I was President of American Board of Ringside Medicine from 2013 to 2016 and traveled with the US Boxing team for 16 years, until the Summer Olympic Games in Rio. I received Three notable awards: being named Physician of the Year by the New York State Academy of Family Physicians in 2014, receiving the Saratoga Hospital Community Service Award in 2019 and recognized as a distinguished alumnus of The Ohio State University College of Medicine with the Community Practice Alumni Award in 2022.
