Tips for estrogen improvement all… Natural!!!

These methods truly work. Lean into curiosity.

1. Eat fat. Real fat.

– Estrogen is made from cholesterol. No fat = no fuel.
– Avocados, olive oil, seeds, grass-fed butter, pasture-raised eggs.

2. Lift something heavy.

– Resistance training + weight-bearing exercise signals your body to support hormone production. (Nothing extreme that could lead to injury, begin slow)
– Even 15 mins counts.

3. Seed cycling (flax + pumpkin for first half of cycle, sesame + sunflower for second) Note: is seeds hurt your tummy, ground them and hydrate more.

– Gentle way to nourish estrogen and progesterone phases.
– Can be added to smoothies or sprinkled on food.

4. Support your liver.

– Estrogen is detoxed through the liver.
– Dandelion tea, bitter greens, lemon water, castor oil packs.

5. Increase your capacity to process stress hormones. If I’m being honest, sometimes people look at me sideways when I say reduce stress🤨so the goal is not to reduce your stress, but increase your ability to process your stress response.

– Cortisol steals from s*x hormones.
– Meditation, somatic work, massage, nervous system regulation… it all helps.

6. Sleep. Deep, dark, uninterrupted sleep.

– Hormone repair happens while you rest.
– No screens before bed (I know… I know, however your body needs boring right now) magnesium, blackout curtains, maybe a warm bath.

7. Connect with pleasure.

– Estrogen is a pleasure hormone.
– Dance. Kiss. Laugh. Touch. Create. Move your hips. Cut loose of the control freak in you… Do things that make you feel ALIVE!

Estrogen doesn’t just control your cycle…it’s what makes you feel like the best version of YOU.

I have been asked over 25,000 questions about relationships.

A client today asked me if I had to give one answer to all of those questions, if I had only one chance to answer all 25,000 questions, what would be my answer?

Here's my answer.

"Become more aware of what is happening inside you, your body, your sensations, your emotions, your stories. Challenge all that you believe about our World.

Know that all distress, all trauma... comes from not understanding how your history, when unsafe, made you adjust and over-compensate, and you developed coping strategies with your imperfect parents.

Those coping strategies now mean that you cannot connect the dots between the current moment, your feelings inside, what those feelings are, how they relate to this moment, and how they relate to your past.

You have had to create meaning out of all the moments, starting young, when you were let down and not satisfied with those that were supposed to be the ones that cared for you and installed in you a safe or unsafe Universe.

Without this awareness inside, you react, and you set off the alarms in the person across from you... the alarms that they have not made contact with.

In some moments it might seem like you know what your feelings are, and what needs you have, and how those needs will help you.

You are often wrong.

Knowing what we need is very difficult.

What we usually need is deep understanding at a feeling level, and to have that, both partners must know how.

And not knowing how makes us human.

So both partners have to have the intention of wanting to learn how.

That is truly what is needed to begin.

If you are fighting about your frustrations, and not in contact with a much deeper need for understanding, then the softer primary emotions, like hurt, fear, sadness, joy... are not being made contact with.

Only gentleness with the above can heal.

It's hard for me.

It's hard for you.

And the person in front of you... it's also hard for... and he/she would probably make better choices... if he/she knew how.

We must be taught this if it was skipped in childhood, with imperfect frustrated parents."

Physical manifestations of trauma can show up years—even decades—after trauma

Those of us who work with trauma survivors know that their bodies carry the trauma. Often, symptoms can show up in the body years—even decades—later. Many of my clients who experienced childhood abuse develop migraines, chronic pain, and other medical concerns well into adulthood, struggling to understand where these symptoms "suddenly" come from. Often, we begin to unravel years of abuse and trauma that they had been forced to deny or ignore. Their body stored it away for them, until it no longer could—or until it felt safe enough to reveal it.

This is where transforming touch and vibroacoustic therapy can assist in being present with the pain and discomfort. We dont have to retell our story, our body is already doing that through the physical symptoms. We create a safe space to process what we are experiencing. Subtly the knots in our stomachs, the armoring of our shoulders, the bracing in our extremities let go, we are given freedom to move and explore!

Trauma memories can stay stored in our body, even long after we thought the trauma had passed.
