Dental emergencies happen when you least expect them, but don't fret, we've got you covered!
According to the ADA, if the following happens, here's what to do:
🦷 Toothache: Rinse with warm water, gently floss, and call us ASAP.
🪥 Chipped/Broken Tooth: Save any pieces, rinse, stop bleeding with gauze, and use a cold compress.
😬 Knocked-Out Tooth: Hold by the crown, rinse gently, try to reinsert or store in milk. Get to us within 30 minutes.
🛠 Lost Filling/Crown: Use dental cement or sugarless gum for a filling; try to reattach a crown with toothpaste until we can see you.
⚠️ Abscess: Serious infection — call immediately. Rinse with mild saltwater to ease pain.
💉 Soft-Tissue Injury: Rinse with saltwater, use gauze or a tea bag for bleeding, and apply a cold compress.
