Our clinicians are obsessed with OT!

They had a wonderful time at the national AOTA last weekend. They had a great time networking and expanding their knowledge of all things Occupational Therapy. We are looking forward to learning all they brought back with them from Philadelphia!

Congratulations to our Client of the Month for March!
L.S. has made amazing progress in OT! At first, he was really nervous about new faces and leaving the classroom, but over time, he built up enough trust to start therapy in the classroom. Once he did, it was a big win! He learned to use coping skills like deep breathing and talking about his feelings when upset.

Lately, he has been transitioning out of the classroom on his own, and without any stress—he’s even excited to go to OT! His success has been so consistent that his therapists started working on in-classroom transitions with his peers, and he’s rocking that too. Recently, L.S. has been using his coping skills to stay calm in undesirable situations with other kids, helping him get back into classroom activities. Go L.S.! We’re so proud of you!

Our client of the month for November is C.R! C.R. has been a client of the clinic for several months now. He has made terrific progress towards his personal goals each session by working hard and having a positive attitude (even during challenging activities). We are super proud of you C.R.!

Our beginnings

After receiving her undergraduate degree from USC in Columbia, Kimberly wanted to be a part of a profession that helped kids in need. After graduating, she worked as an Early Intervention Specialist in Columbia and Orangeburg, SC. She decided to further her education and attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. to study pediatric occupational therapy and has been a practicing OTR/L for the last four years in the Rock Hill/Lake Wylie area. After years of helping children, Kimberly’s dream of opening her own practice to continue supporting families through in home and clinic based therapy came to fruition and thus Carolina Therapy Solutions for Kids was born.
