Congratulations Bradley! Well deserved! What a blessing Bradley has been, for many years, to the First Responders of Chester!

Our Law Enforcement Hometown Hero this week is Corporal Bradley Ellmann of the Chester Police Department - New Jersey.

A proud Chester native, Corporal Ellmann has dedicated his life to serving the very community he grew up in. Since joining the department in 2018, he has risen through the ranks and now serves in the Patrol Division and as a key member of the Traffic Unit, where he helps keep local roads safe and oversees special traffic projects.

Beyond his police duties, Corporal Ellmann also serves as a volunteer firefighter with the Chester Volunteer Fire Company—further exemplifying his commitment to public service.

Thank you, Corporal Ellmann, for your dedication, leadership, and deep hometown pride. Chester is safer and stronger because of you!

🚑 EMTs from Across NJ Trained This Weekend in Chester! 🚑

This past weekend, the Chester First Aid Squad proudly hosted a series of mandated refresher courses for EMTs from all over New Jersey!

To maintain NJ State EMT Certification, EMTs are required to complete:
✅ 3 Core Refresher Classes (Core A, B & C)
✅ 24 Elective CEUs (Continuing Education Units)
📆 Every 3 years — totaling 48 hours of classroom instruction, exams, and hands-on skills training.

Each 8-hour Core class includes two exams and intensive training on critical topics like:
🫁 Airway Management
🚨 Medical Emergencies
🩸 Trauma Care

This rigorous education ensures our EMTs stay sharp, skilled, and ready to serve our communities with the highest level of care.

For 80 years, a select few from the Chester community have served this great town. Saving people daily while the rest go about their business. Whether it be standbys for kids sporting events, the carnival in town, or someone’s worst day, EMS has been there. Truly making a difference everyday, all while being a volunteer. We are the unsung few that show up. Thank you to our Team!
