Causes of Bad Breath (Halitosis)

Certain foods, health conditions and habits are among the causes of bad breath. Bad breath can be embarrassing and in some cases it may even cause anxiety.
Bad style habits can be a cause of bad breath. Bad breath odors vary, depending on the source.

Most bad breath starts in your mouth, and there are many possible causes. They include:

1. Food
2. Smoking
3. Dry mouth
4. Medications
5. Happy Hour/Alcohol
6. Eating certain types of foods
7. Forgetting to clean your tongue
8. Poor dental hygiene
9. Infections in your mouth
