Big news from Sedgwick County COMCARE! The Community Crisis Center is now an officially accredited Crisis Helpline and Chat/Text Program! This achievement comes from the International Council for Helplines and celebrates the Sedgwick County COMCARE 988 line as an important and beneficial service for residents who are experiencing mental health issues.

COMCARE's Addiction Treatment Services (ATS) is an outpatient and intensive day treatment program that helps clients improve their functioning, improve their quality of life and reduce their use of alcohol and drugs. ATS also provides treatment for problem gambling.

Today we broke ground on a beautiful future where we will have a new expanded Community Crisis Center that will allow us to better serve our neighbors and community. We are excited for the momentum built and appreciative of the support behind this project.

Something exciting this way comes!

The wait is over! Sedgwick County is holding a groundbreaking ceremony to begin construction on the new COMCARE Community Crisis Center next Monday, Oct. 20, at 9 a.m. at 235 S. Topeka St. This long-anticipated mental healthcare expansion will consolidate and enhance operations from two COMCARE Crisis locations into one center, providing a more effective and welcoming space for people in distress. We invite you to share in this milestone event!
