Caitlin’s class is a slow, beautiful burn. The type of slow burn where you are spending 5 to 10 breaths in a seated twist or side bend at the beginning, thinking “wow this is so nice and nourishing, even restorative!” And then, eventually, you’re spending 5 to 10 breaths in downward dog or plank and thinking “wait, what happened here??” 🤣😮‍💨 Caitlin’s grounding, steady pace invites you to spend time with and really notice your breath. Nothing is rushed. Every pose feels like an opportunity to give yourself a hug. Her minimal queuing lets you focus mainly on your own experience.

Caitlin rotates teaching our weekend 9:30am classes, and subs! ✨ Make sure to keep an eye on the schedule and try one of her classes soon (maybe this Sunday, 7/27 at 9:30am! 😉)

One thing we love hearing over and over from our members and guests 😍🌸🕯️ the vibe is a huge part of your experience on the mat. While we don’t want the scent to be so overpowering that you are distracted from your practice, we think it adds to the experience to walk in to a fresh, tidy, clean, inviting space that feels and smells great. You’ll always find us diffusing a yummy blend in our diffusers, or burning palo santo or incense before class.

What are your favorite scents to go along with your movement class? 🌲 Woodsy and grounding, 🍋 citrusy and uplifting, or 🪻 subtle and calming?

We are still riding high from the amazing energy shared in the studio last weekend at Align for Aid ✨ keeping all the communities in Central Texas in our hearts during this extremely difficult time. We are back to the regular schedule and cultivating strength and softness on the mat to take out into the world ❤️

This is Alfiya! She has been with us since December 2022, and her practice and strength, both inside and out, have grown exponentially!! She is extremely dedicated to her yoga practices, and shows up at least 3-4 times a week for all different types of classes. I feel confident she probably never thought she would be hanging out so gracefully in Twisted Crow pose one day, but here we are! 💪🏼 We love having you as a member, Alfiya!

Speechless. Overwhelmed with gratitude.

Dozens of you showed up on your mat today to support Central Texas. More of you donated online or beforehand because you weren’t able to make it today. As the attendance numbers grew throughout the week, I knew this was going to be big, but I was still more and more surprised. It’s not that I did not expect the support, because I know how amazing this community is. But the magnitude of your generosity has swept me off my feet.

Because of you, we were able to raise $3,301 for the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.

The way you have shown up to support not only our fellow Texans, but also me and my studio and OUR community, brings me to tears. Thank you, thank you, thank you, not only to all of you, but also to my incredible Balance Team who jumped at the opportunity to make a difference today. This is what being a Texan is about, but really this is what being a human being is about. Today was a gift that I will not forget for a very long time.

There are no words to describe the devastation our friends in Kerr County and surrounding areas are feeling right now. So, we will just do what we do best, which is to create space for you to move through grief, process pain, experience joy, and get to know yourself.

✨ALIGN FOR AID: Donation-Based Movement Classes for Kerr County✨

Join us for a heartfelt day of movement, community, and compassion as we come together to support the flood victims of Kerr County and the surrounding Texas Hill Country. “Align for Aid” features a series of donation-based, 30-minute sample classes — including yoga, barre, and mindful movement — designed to uplift, energize, and unite.

Each class will be followed by a 10-minute break for rest, connection, or reflection. Come for one class or stay for the whole event — every breath, every stretch, and every dollar makes a difference.

🔸 9:30 - 10:00am - Balletone with Chris
🔸 10:10 - 10:40am - Barre with Anna
🔸 10:50 - 11:20am - Flow with Carson
🔸 11:30 - 12:00pm - Restorative with Irene

All proceeds will go directly to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund organized by the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country to help families rebuild and recover.

💡✨ Pro-tip: You’re going to want to get to class a little early. Here are a few reasons why ☺️

💻 If you are new to the studio and have not pre-signed up online, we will need a little time to put your info into the system and sign you up for class, and we will show you around the studio and help get you set up.

🕒 We start class on time, and you’ll want to be on your mat with all the props you need gathered up already. Don’t waste your precious hour of peace by missing the beginning of class. Teachers will often discuss the theme or intention for class, or share studio news at the beginning. Also, we lock the studio doors 5 minutes after the start of class to give our students peace of mind that they won’t be disturbed.

🧘🏽‍♀️ It can be really nice to arrive early and have a few minutes to yourself for your own movement. Roll around, stretch, work out the kinks before beginning your practice. Notice your “starting point” in the body before you begin, so that you know how to proceed through your practice to feel your best after. Some yogis just like to arrive early for a mindful moment, sitting or laying in stillness instead.

🗣️ Arrive early for community 🙏🏻 the pre-class yap time and buzz of energy in the air is one of my favorite parts of our studio. I love to see our members checking up on each other, hear the friendly banter, and see true friendships being made and taken outside the studio.

We know life happens sometimes and you can’t always arrive early, but we recommend coming at least 5 minutes early as a best practice 🥰

Hi, friends! 👋🏼🥹 I know it’s been a little quiet around here. In full transparency, I’m not a pro at remembering to stay on top of posts when life gets crazy, and I needed a lil break! ❤️

SO, this calls for an introduction for anyone new around these parts. 🤠 I’m .yoga and I own and operate Balance Yoga + Barre! I’ve grown up and lived many lives since starting as the front desk girl at Balance in 2016. I had the opportunity to take over the studio in 2019 and never looked back. I’m an E-RYT500 who has a passion for sharing a mindful, balanced practice I like to call a “moving meditation” from beginning to end. I wear many other hats, including, full-time stay at home mom, wife, daughter, and friend.

I believe Balance is a place anyone, any age, any size, any experience level, can walk in and find a class that is appropriate for them. It’s my main goal that everyone who walks through the doors feels seen and heard, because I know starting something new can be intimidating. Balance is a safe space to come home to yourself, explore your own movement, and learn to trust yourself while finding community.
