“I started on a 3-month consulting contract… and never left.”

More than 20 years ago, Bunny Higgins took a leap of faith with Heartstrings. Just one week into her new role, the world changed on 9/11. But instead of stepping back, Bunny and Anne brewed a strong pot of coffee—and got to work.

From launching Goody Delivery® with just two businesses to now serving over 70 locations, Bunny has helped shape Heartstrings into a thriving, mission-driven organization that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through meaningful employment.
