Frank Zenek, 78, of Peotone, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2026.

Frank was a lifelong resident of Markham, but had recently relocated to Peotone to be closer to his family who were helping to care for him.

Frank was known as a caring, generous man who loved his family and was always willing to help someone however he could. He was the owner / operator of Ace Heating and Cooling, keeping local residents (and every one of his friends / family) in a comfortable climate all year round.

Frank enjoyed spending time with family, relaxing at Lake Wisconsin, and watching a beautiful sunset. He loved to watch sports, especially the Cubs. He had a knack for finding old westerns or a Star Trek rerun on any TV in any area.

He also enjoyed weekly lunches with lifelong friends at Clovers. His love of sports was unparalleled, regularly attending the games his grandchildren were playing. He was such a fixture at these games, that everyone on the teams referred to him as “Papa” or “Coach Papa.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marian, brothers Edward and Gerald, sister Dorothy, and grandson Joseph.

He is survived by his brother Jack, sister Janet (Babe), daughters Tina (Jason), Jacky, Dawn (Lawrence), grandchildren Kristin (Jake), Kayla (Chris), Kyle, Alexis, Zachery, and great grandchildren Henry and Lanie.

Frank was a blessing to have in our lives and he will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
