It is the greatest honor to be in community with so many incredible LGBTQ+ people with OCD, loved ones of those with OCD, and clinicians alike!

Exciting news! Please help us welcome our newest board member and volunteer coordinator, Violet! 🌸💟

Violet's Bio:
I am a first-year student studying psychology at Western Washington University. After earning my degree, I hope to become a therapist specializing in OCD and help kids and teens who are going through OCD. I'm excited to be serving OCD Washington as the Volunteer Coordinator and as an OCD Advocate. Additionally, I am a Crisis Counselor for Crisis Text Line and a member of Not Alone Notes. When I am not advocating for myself or others (), I enjoy swimming, reading, crafting, and spending time with my family.

She will also be presenting at this year's IOCDF Conference in Chicago!

Please check out these local and national resources dedicated to LGBTQ+, immigrant, refugee, and BIPOC security!

OCD Washington loves our trans, q***r, and immigrant community members dearly and extend our unconditional love and support to you all. We want you to know your rights and the help that is available to you. As a nonprofit dedicated to the advocacy and protection of those living with mental illness, we recognize the importance of standing up for those experiencing discrimination, bullying, and oppression. OCD can impact absolutely anyone. Because of this, we are an incredibly diverse community, and it is one of our greatest strengths.

For our LGBTQ+ friends, the IOCDF has an LGBTQ+ special interest group dedicated to group support and advocacy for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies with OCD.
