Bunny Besties is a 501 3 c non-profit organization working in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, USA. Bunny Besties is an all-volunteer nonprofit that addresses the heightened stress in our community. We do it with cuddly loving bunnies and with the principles founded through studies at Mayo Clinic and our work withBoynton Health Services at the University of Minnesota. Our rescued rabbits have a unique ability to lower stress of the humans around them and bring joyfulness to those in challenging life transitions. We host bunny interactions in college and other educational settings, homeless shelters, libraries, senior living, and hospices in the greater Twin Cities area with a special focus on helping children and young adults.
We have many places that we have visited across Minneapolis and St. Paul. Our first programs were with the University of Minnesota PAWS program and People Serving People Homeless Shelter. We have continued with these organizations since September 2014. Since then we have grown leaps and bounds and continue to expand our services hoppin all over town. We specialize on providing a bunny break to those in need. Stress reduction is a real need and we try to help. Bunny Besties is cutting stresses with cuteness!
Bunny Besties became a 501 3 c non-profit organization in April of 2017. We are the recipient of the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award for meeting the highest standards of service within our community in 2017, 2018, and 2019. We are proud to focus on helping students pet away worry and stress, helping homeless children enjoy a novel break in their day and helping patients and families deal with illness and end of life transitions.
