Today is World Dense Breast Day!

Did you know that nearly half of all women over 40 have dense breasts? Dense breast tissue is completely normal and common! Understanding your breast density is valuable health information—and since dense breasts are quite common—it's an important topic to discuss with your healthcare provider as part of your personalized care plan.

Why does breast density matter?

- Dense tissue can make it harder to see changes on traditional 2D mammograms

- Knowing your density helps your healthcare team personalize your screening plan

- Additional screening tools after your mammogram are available when appropriate
