20/20 vision doesn’t necessarily mean perfect vision or that you don't need glasses—it just means your vision is considered "normal" for distance clarity. However, there’s more to eye health than just distance vision! Green eyes are incredibly rare, with only 2% of the world's population having them. Their unique combination of pigmentation and light scattering creates their mesmerizing hue.
Hence, people with green eyes tend to be very sensitive to UV rays, typically provided by sunlight. Green-eyed people therefore need sunglasses always because the sensitivity to sunlight can be too much for their eyes which causes strain. The more melanin one has, the better protection from the sun they have and that’s why brown-eyed and black-eyed people don’t have too much strain caused by the sun. For green eyes and blue eyes, they tend to be a lot more sensitive to sudden light increase.

This is a common misconception, but wearing glasses does not make your vision worse. Glasses simply correct your vision by helping your eyes focus properly, offering clearer sight, and reducing strain. Your vision may naturally change over time due to factors like age or health conditions, but glasses won’t cause any further deterioration!
