Family Ties provides free therapy and advocacy services to child and adult victims of sexual assault, domestic or family violence, and other family crisis issues. The agency was founded as a Private Non-Profit Organization on February 28, 2007. Our agency serves Waller County, Austin County, and North West Harris County. June 27 is National PTSD Awareness Day. In June we honor and recognize the strength of those living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD (C-PTSD). PTSD can result from a single traumatic event, while C-PTSD often results from repeated trauma such as abuse, neglect, or violence- especially during early childhood development. Both conditions are real, valid, and deserving of compassion and support. Healing is not linear, awareness is powerful.

- Start a conversation about mental health.
- Learn the signs of PTSD.
- Support a friend or loved one who may be struggling.
- Share resources that can make a difference.
