Our Story
Rachael Watson, “Coach Rae” struggled with losing weight for many years. She was a chronic yo-yo dieter, losing weight only to gain it and more back, and dealing with the frustration of that. She had ballooned up to 247 lbs and was even afraid to try to lose weight again for fear that she would fail yet again, and end up going to 300lbs. She settled herself to accept that her lot in life was simply to be a “Big Girl”. She tried to make herself content with that notion, but she just could not settle herself to accept that fate.
During a time of prayer and seeking God, she and her husband went on a fast wherein they only drank water for 4 days. After not having had any food for that time, her body was physically weak. As she walked up the stairs to her house, she was exhausted and had to stop at the top to gather herself. As she did, she remarked to herself how she never realized how important food is to give the body energy. In that moment, she heard a phrase that would revolutionize her enter life/world. She heard God say to her, “Exactly daughter, I gave you food to fuel your body...not fluff it”. From that point on, she began her journey to weight loss.
As she progressed, she began sharing that journey on facebook and people began to remark on how much of an inspiration she was and began asking for her assistance in helping them reach their weight loss goals as well. Opportunities began to arise for her to begin to speak about her journey and others began to clamor to her to ask her to assist them. Alas, Fitness Finesse w/Rae (FFRAE) was born!
We now conduct weight loss challenges for people that are just getting started on their journey who will benefit mostly from having accountability. We also host group weight loss challenges for the more advanced individual that has made healthy eating and exercise a part of their lifestyle, but now need a little more structure, guidance and coaching to help them achieve specific goals. We also have Personal Accountability Coaching (PAC) for those that desire a more personalized coaching process. In addition, we have Fitness Formats to include: Zumba, Hugiano (gospel-inspired dance fitness), Tight N’ Tone (toning workout), and SitFit (seated dance fitness format). We also offer all natural Health & Wellness supplements to assist you in your Health & Wellness Goals. Coming soon, we will have customized nutrition plans for purchase as well as an On-Demand Fitness site. Coach Rae has also written a book entitled, “Keys to Weight Loss Success” which chronicles her journey to weight loss and all the “keys” that needed to be in place to assist her in achieving their weight loss goals. In addition, Coach Rae and her Husband have established the “Rae-N-Bae” brand through which they sell all natural Health & Wellness products and host a FB Live Show called, “In the Kitchen w/Rae-N-Bae”
