Join us this Saturday for a free playgroup at Shelburne Farms.

Meet us at the Farm Barn at 10am, then explore the Children’s Farmyard, discover how cheddar is made, and walk the beautiful grounds. Caregivers must stay with their children the whole time. All families with children 0-5 are encouraged to attend (older children welcome), lunch provided for the whole family!

We are pleased to announce that Melissa Appleton has been awarded the 2025 Congressional Angel in Adoption Award for the State of Vermont. CCAI’s Angels in Adoption® Leadership Program honors a wide spectrum of individuals and organizations making extraordinary contributions in adoption, permanency, and child welfare.

Melissa is Lund’s Post Permanency Services Coordinator, and for the past 19 years, she has dedicated herself to supporting families formed through adoption and guardianship.

Volunteers from Dealer.com by Cox Automotive joined us yesterday to put together information packets for families engaging with our adoption programs. Dealer.com has been sending a group of volunteers for years, we're grateful for their support!

Our Kids-A-Part Parenting Program (KAPPP) is looking for volunteers. The KAPPP mission is to minimize trauma experienced by a child with a parent in prison.⁠

Volunteers support the program by attending 1-2 Saturday morning visits per month at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility. We ask for a one-year commitment, ability to be approved as a DOC volunteer, and the ability to lift/carry small children.⁠

Our Richmond Playground has moved outside for the summer! Meet us on Wednesdays from 9-11am at Volunteer's Green park in Richmond, VT. 🛝☀️

This free weekly playgroup is run by an experienced family educator and is a fun and casual way to meet other families from the area, and enjoy unstructured outdoor play. All families with children 0-5 are encouraged to attend, older siblings welcome!

Looking for a fun long weekend activity? Stop by our StoryWalk along the South Burlington Bike Path (behind our 50 Joy Drive office building). Enjoy reading a book, page by page, as you walk along the Bike Path behind Joy Drive. The book is currently Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin, Jr. and John Archambault.
