This past Tuesday, your support brought warmth, health, and holiday cheer to many families still feeling the impact of Hurricane Helena. Thanks to your generosity, New Direction Health Care Solutions was able to distribute essential items and share festive moments with our community.

New Direction Health Care Solutions has been diligently distributing 20,000 COVID-19 test kits provided by the state to our community. Thanks to the collective efforts of our team and partners, we have successfully distributed the majority of these kits, with only 500 remaining. We encourage community members who still need a test kit to contact us promptly to obtain one of the remaining supplies. Our commitment to promoting health and safety in our community remains steadfast.

The agenda includes an update on COVID-19 and recent developments at the Knox County Health Department, presented by Dena Mashburn, FNP, Director of Clinical Services.

Additionally, Martha Earl, Director and Professor at the University of Tennessee Medical Center's Preston Medical Library/Health Information Center, will discuss top sources for evidence-based health information and how to utilize library staff to empower community health.
