It’s a baby...celebration!

Joy was in the air as moms-to-be were showered with love, support, and essentials at a recent session of our CUNA program.

Founded in 2005, CUNA (named after the Spanish word for crib) stands for Cultivando una Nueva Alianza — Cultivating a New Alliance. It’s more than a name — it’s a promise.

Through five 12-session groups each year, we’ve supported more than 2,000 expectant mothers with culturally responsive education, peer connection, and compassionate guidance.

At CHSofNJ, we believe every mom deserves to feel prepared, empowered, and celebrated.

All aboard the future of transportation!

CHSofNJ staff had the exciting opportunity to ride in a self-driving vehicle—with Princeton University’s own Dr. Alain Kornhauser at the helm (well, tech was at the helm... he was in the driver’s seat!).

This hands-on demo gave our team a fascinating look into how Dr. Kornhauser’s cutting-edge design could help create more equitable, accessible transportation in cities like Trenton. Imagine the possibilities when innovation meets community impact!

This week, ETS employees—including the talented Global Marketing Innovation team—designed, built, and beautifully stocked two freestanding libraries for the families in our Early Head Start communities in Trenton. These little libraries are now filled with stories, knowledge, and opportunity—just waiting to be discovered by curious young readers and their families!

Special shoutout to Lexi Rodriguez, whose personal connection to The Children's Home Society of Florida inspired her to recommend CHSofNJ for this thoughtful initiative. Your support helps open new chapters for our families—literally and figuratively.

We’re sending a big THANK YOU to our incredible friends at the Zonta Club of Greater Trenton! 💛 For more than 50 years, Zonta Club members have stood beside CHSofNJ, and last night was no exception. Their generous donation of diapers, toys, books, clothing, and games to the Vivian Schapiro Early Childhood Development Center will bring comfort, joy, and learning to so many of our little ones.

Congratulations to CHSofNJ Board Member Jennifer Pizi on being named a Wenonah Hometown Legend!

This July 4th, Jenn Pizi was honored with the Wenonah Hometown Legend Award—a recognition reserved for individuals who inspire, lead with heart, and make their community proud. 🌟

A former Wall Street executive, Jenn made a powerful pivot in her career—from helping the wealthy build wealth to helping everyday families rebuild their financial futures. As Chief Operating Officer of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC), she champions financial literacy, debt relief, and economic empowerment.

Her passion doesn’t stop there—Jenn is also a dedicated advocate for children’s financial education, partnering with the Head Start program in Mercer County and “The Budgetnista” Tiffany Aliche to pilot a groundbreaking curriculum for young learners.

Locally, she’s a tireless volunteer:
🏡 Serving on the Board of Trustees for CHSofNJ, helping to protect and uplift children and families.
💪 Leading revitalization efforts with the Woman’s Club of Wenonah, co-creating beloved community events like the Wenonah Farmers Market and Turkey Trot.
🌳 Helping restore her town following a devastating tornado in 2021.
