Thank you to Justin Wagner with Safeguard Business Systems (Texas Premier) for dropping off essentials kits for our patients and caregivers this week! He had just returned from Hunt, dropping needed supplies to the Hill Country flooding first responders and search and rescue teams and stopped in to be his usual helpful self.

Justin has been a great source for Hope for affordable and high quality printing and branded items - we're sure he can help you, too!

Our partners at River City Advocacy & Counseling Center are offering a free virtual support group for mental health providers assisting with flood relief at 3pm today. Hope Hospice's Hampel-Wuest Grief & Hope Center is offering a drop in - no appointment needed - Healing Circles of Hope next Wednesday, July 23rd for those experiencing grief due to flooding. It is open to the community for people over 6 years. Light Work 316, Inc. and New Braunfels Counseling Center are also providing free grief support to the community.

As our area and neighbors in surrounding counties are still dealing with the tragic floods, clean up and recovery efforts, we want you to know that there is mental health support for all.

Today at 3pm, we will be hosting a virtual support group for the mental health caregivers who have been working and / or volunteering at different sites.

You can scan the QR code on the flyer or use the link in the comments to join us at 3pm.

Thank you to and Lakisha Lemons for sharing this touching article and beautiful video of the Candlelight Vigil of Hope in response to flooding in the Hill Country, that we held last week. Video link is in bio.

"We [community partners] suggested that we pull together as a community to have this candlelight vigil tonight. Even though it’s just a few days since the tragedies have started, we know that we’re stronger together as these organizations, but we are even stronger together as an entire community.”

Members of the community gathered in the main street plaza in prayer, songs and a moment of silence for the victims.

We were honored to bring the community together for what will likely be a long road toward healing in the Hill Country. But never forget - There Is Always Hope. And we are stronger together.

Thank you to Light Work 316, Inc., River City Advocacy & Counseling Center, Communities In Schools of South Central Texas, and Texas State University’s Animal-Assisted Counseling Academy for partnering with us to provide grief support as needed during the vigil and moving forward.

Thank you to our Hope Hospice Chaplain Tom Norvell for leading the event, to Yesenia McNett singer for providing such touching music, to the New Braunfels Police Department, City of New Braunfels Fire Department, New Braunfels Parks and Recreation for providing a safe gathering, to Oakwood - New Braunfels, TX for providing the candles, to Comal Flower Shop on The Plaza for providing the beautiful heart shaped wreath, and to B Squared Lone Star Entertainment for providing the sound equipment.
