We were honored to bring the community together for what will likely be a long road toward healing in the Hill Country. But never forget - There Is Always Hope. And we are stronger together.
Thank you to Light Work 316, Inc., River City Advocacy & Counseling Center, Communities In Schools of South Central Texas, and Texas State University’s Animal-Assisted Counseling Academy for partnering with us to provide grief support as needed during the vigil and moving forward.
Thank you to our Hope Hospice Chaplain Tom Norvell for leading the event, to Yesenia McNett singer for providing such touching music, to the New Braunfels Police Department, City of New Braunfels Fire Department, New Braunfels Parks and Recreation for providing a safe gathering, to Oakwood - New Braunfels, TX for providing the candles, to Comal Flower Shop on The Plaza for providing the beautiful heart shaped wreath, and to B Squared Lone Star Entertainment for providing the sound equipment.
If you or someone you know has been affected by the flood and need grief support, please reach out to 830-358-5300 or grief@hopehospice.net
A large crowd filled the downtown Main Plaza Thursday afternoon with tears in their eyes and candles in hand as they reflected on the lives of those lost to the recent floods and those still missing.
