Peggy had worked with her at a local school for more than 20 years, and they were reunited once again! Our Everyday Heroes for June:

1. Cassie Gonzales
Embracing the “say yes” cornerstone for Brookdale, she is compassionate and a true team member, always willing to help any department, especially the CNAs, so much so that she was recognized during CNA week, as her role does not really fit into any other department. She is always friendly, kind and a huge asset to Brookdale Meridian Lakewood.

2. Celeste Martinez
We are so fortunate to have Celeste as part of our team; she goes above and beyond helping to recognize others, and she deserves recognition and a thank you from us! She is the brainchild of the awesome recognition gifts staff receive, and she helped to organize the great staff picnic we had this month. We hope next year more staff bring their families and enjoy the fun, food and games.

We had our first annual associate appreciation BBQ! The associates and their families were celebrated.
We had bubble and tattoo stations, ducks in the pool game, giant Jenga, corn hole, and goats, live music and delicious food. The managers served the food, the residents ran the games and or stations, so the associates could have some fun. More pictures to come! 💜
