What Is Power Yoga? 💪🧘‍♀️

Power Yoga is where yoga meets high-energy movement. It’s a fast-paced, strength-focused style designed to build heat, improve endurance, and challenge your balance. In power classes you'll flow from pose to pose while engaging your muscles and keeping your heart rate up.

It’s perfect for you if:

You like to move and break a sweat. 😅

You want to build strength and stamina alongside flexibility. 💪

You’re looking for a mental reset that also feels like a workout. 🧠

You enjoy variety as no two classes are exactly the same. ✨

It’s not about how bendy you are or if you can do a headstand. It's about showing up, pushing yourself, and leaving stronger than you came in. Instructors provide plenty of modifications and progressions to meet you where you are today.

If downward facing dog is troublesome on your wrists, then try lowering to your forearms for dolphin pose!

Dolphin pose will help alleviate pressure in the wrists, however it does require a bit more strength from the shoulders and core muscles.

If you're looking to amp up your flow, try going back and forth between these two poses for a few reps💪

Thankful Thursday: KORI ✨

We’ve had the absolute honor of witnessing Kori’s journey into motherhood with the arrival of her beautiful baby boy, Justin!

We first met Kori and her husband during our prenatal yoga classes, and since welcoming her firstborn earlier this year, she has jumped right back into her yoga practice- embracing Vinyasa, Aerial Yoga, SUP Yoga, and of course, Mom & Baby Yoga with little Justin by her side.

Kori’s presence truly lights up the studio. Her smile is infectious, her energy uplifting, and you just know it’s going to be a great day when she’s in the room. 🤗

We are endlessly inspired by your courage, curiosity, and humble determination, Kori- whether you’re attempting a headstand on a paddleboard or showing up with grace through the challenges of new motherhood.

And Justin’s story to get here is a powerful reminder of the strength of the human spirit and the beauty of never giving up. Kori, you are an incredible mother and a shining light in our community. We love you! 💛

Think of it as the introvert of aerial classes 🙃😉. It's low to the ground, soft in the transitions, and deeply grounding for your nervous system. No flips, no circus stunts, no panic about being upside down. Just gentle movement, deep stretching, and then floating into calm. ☁☁🧘‍♀️

It’s one of the least intimidating aerial classes we offer and honestly it might just be your new favorite class to reset your body and mind.

Benefits of Downward Facing Dog:⠀

•Builds Upper Body Strength⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•Increases Energy/Circulation⠀

•Better Core Stability/Strength⠀

•Stretches Neck, Arms, Back, and Back of Legs⠀

Happy Headstand Monday! 🙃

Don't let IG fool you. None of us were popping into an unassisted headstand on Day 1. It took years to build the strength, trust, and balance to even feel safe trying it, and many of us are still on that journey. Some days we feel strong and centered. Other days, just setting up feels hard.

Headstand (or any inversion) isn’t about nailing the perfect pose. It’s about showing up with curiosity, consistency, and a willingness to fall and learn along the way.

So if you’re still working on it- whether you’re at the wall, practicing dolphin, or just building core strength, you're in good company. This is what practice looks like. 💛🙏

What Is Yin Yoga? 🧘‍♀️✨

Yin Yoga is the slow jam of the yoga world. Think long, deep stretches held for minutes at a time, designed to target the fascia, joints, and connective tissue- not just the muscles. It’s not about sweating, it’s about softening. About getting still, getting quiet, and staying there.

If you struggle to slow down (hi, most of us 🙋‍♀️), Yin might be exactly what you need. It’s for the overthinkers, the tight-hipped, the anxious hearts, the stressed-out souls, the athletes, the moms, the insomniacs, and the humans who just need a minute to breathe. Pretty much everyone. 😅

This practice invites you to tune in rather than work out. And somehow, in the stillness, your body begins to unravel all the places it’s been holding on too tightly in all the ways.

Friendship Friday 🤍

One of the most powerful things about this studio isn’t just the movement, it’s the people beside you. The quiet encouragement during a challenging pose, the shared breath in stillness, the conversations before and after class that remind us we’re not alone.

Thankful Thursday: CHELSEA ✨💛

This week, we’re giving a HUGE shoutout to Chelsea- a true gem in our Perogi family. 🙏

Chelsea has been part of the studio since 2020, and if you know her, you know she’s a huge part of the heart and soul of our studio. She’s the librarian of FIT (aka the keeper of all the things), a dedicated teacher, a calm force of nature, and somehow always the first to say, “I’ll help!” even when she’s juggling a million things herself.

She just got married (!!!) in the most beautiful ceremony to her perfect match Spencer (owner and chef extraordinaire of Cadillac Cove). They just came back from a dreamy Maine honeymoon and are just the cutest couple ever. 💍🥰

But don’t let her sweet, laid-back demeanor fool you. Chelsea is a metal-loving, ex-ballerina powerhouse. She brings elegance, edge, and empathy into everything she does and we're all truly lucky to know her. 🙏

We love you, Chelsea! Thank you for being the radiant heart of our space. 💛🩰✨
