Good morning, everyone. This is Kim. I wanted to say "thank you" to everyone who has stuck with me over about the last 2 to 3 years, or so. My health started going downhill around August of 2017. I started having less mobility and was in constant pain. I was diagnosed with several things, from thyroid issues, to arthritis, to being told that it "was all in my head". That last part, is, technically, correct. On January 4th, 2020, I ended up at the ER with a terrible headache. The doctors did an MRI and referred me to a neurologist. That neurologist informed me that I had "a few lesions" in my brain and it was probably from chronic migraines. At the beginning of August, I ended up back in the ER because half of my right hand went numb and I thought I was having a stroke. I ended up being admitted to the hospital for 3 days, saw a new neurologist and got to undergo a plethora of "fun" tests, including a lumbar puncture. On August 26th, I was told that I had 8 lesions in my brain, some in my cervical spine and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. It has been a very challenging 4 months, with new medications, infusions, trial and error. I am feeling hopeful, though, that we are on the correct treatment path, now, and things will be getting "better". Again, thank you for bearing with me. I hope everyone has a bright and blessed holiday season. Xoxo
