At LDA of Michigan, our purpose is to advance the general well-being for individuals with and the education and knowledge of learning disabilities. At LDA of Michigan, our vision is that the causes of learning disabilities will be understood and addressed and the individuals with learning disabilities will thrive and participate fully in society. At LDA of Michigan, our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all individuals with learning disabilities and their families through advocacy, education, training, service and support of research.

We are in Lansing with MiPAAC today and tomorrow helping legislators understand why our children and schools deserve a better funding structure for special education. It’s time to provide what is needed for schools to implement the intent of the law to make decisions based on student need rather than what they think they have available!

Arts in Motion Studio provides the West Michigan community and individuals with disabilities an artistic adventure.

Arts in Motion views the creative arts as an important means of self-expression that should be accessible to all individuals, without regard for physical or mental limitation. Classes for music, drama, dance and fine art are tailored to instruct those who are physically and mentally disabled, with a focus on creative expression rather than just refining technique.
