Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child. We believe in

a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy. A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved. Bryan is our Blue Bird of the Week! His infectious smile is sure to light up your day. He is our master problem solver as he enjoys all things cause and effect play. He has a love for manipulating and exploring how things work. Wind-up toys are his favorite; he loves to watch them spin and bonus points if it lights up! You will always catch him wearing the coolest pajama pants fashion. Bryan has made strides in his development, most notably his social skills with peers! We are so proud of the progress Bryan has made and cannot wait to see what he continues to accomplish in the future!

Our Blue Bird of the Week is Zaid. Zaid is our car expert and future Mechanic! He loves to look out the window and identify all of his friends and teachers cars, and the first question he will always ask when he meets you is what kind of car you drive. Zaid has the most incredible memory, loves the color blue, making his friends laugh, and playing in the gym. He is always moving, and loves to show his friends anything he thinks is cool! He asks thoughtful questions, and LOVES to learn and be a leader for his friends!

Our Story

Blue Bird Day is an opportunity for socialization, sensory regulation, and academic learning for children ages 2-9. The therapeutic day program is taught by a developmental therapist with specializations in early childhood development, early elementary education and certification in DIR/Floortime. Our preschool program embraces a multisensory curriculum incorporating principles of Sensory Integration, DIR/Floortime, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Zoophonics, Handwriting Without Tears and Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding. This unique curriculum encourages peer interaction, socialization, development of academic skills, sensory integration and speech development. Goals and treatment plans are individualized to meet each student’s unique needs, including daily speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavior therapy and feeding therapy sessions. Snack and lunch are catered daily by HandCut Foods to include gluten-free, nut-free, and diary-free options.
