Highland Gardens Koval's Assisted Living Highland Gardens Koval's Assisted Living has provided quality residential care for loved ones since Gladys Koval served as the founding President of TORCH.

Highland Gardens provides 24-hour supervision, personal care services/care plans, daily assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming, medication supervision, semi-private rooms, home-cooked meals, weekly beauty shop, exercise, games, spacious outdoor sitting areas, devotionals, daily housekeeping and laundry. All of these descriptions however, can never convey the dedication and love the Kovals

have for all of their residents. The Kovals have owned Highland Gardens, a residential care home for 41 years, since 1972, notably focused on women residents. Not content to simply allow similar facilities to be confused with her own and that of others of like quality, Gladys and other leaders in the residential care business formed a corporation, The Texas Organization of Residential Care Facilities (TORCH). The goal was to set a high standard for the operation of these homes and not to allow degradation in their operation. The entire State of Texas and beyond are indebted to the Kovals for their industry leadership in uplifting the manner in which the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services and residential care facilities work together to provide professional services! Highland Gardens is licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services. It is located at 802 Monticello at Gevers (behind the local McDonald’s). They are reachable at 210-534-9451 or gladyskoval@earthlink.net. No one looks forward to living outside one’s home, but when you must, Koval’s Highland Gardens is the next best thing to home!
