At Nurture House, we use our Play Therapist’s Palette to honor our clients’ stories and hold space for their trauma content through play therapy, expressive arts, sandtray work, and so much more.

For children, play isn't just fun—it’s a powerful language of expression, especially when they are only able to share snapshots of their stories. Therapists armed with their palette allow space for our clients to dig deeper, feel seen, safe, empowered, and supported.

As this month comes to an end, let’s continue to break the stigma around mental health, especially for our youngest minds.

If your child is struggling with the effects of trauma, anxiety, or big behaviors, we’re here to help. 💛

Nurture House stands firm in it's misson to help parents and children in distress. Our specially designed treatment center offers engaging, developmentally supportive spaces to help families embark on the healing journey.

We believe in the power of play, which is the natural language of children. In our environment, filled with toys and items that reflect childhood, children's anxiety and resistance decrease, making them more open to learning new skills and practicing coping techniques. This atmosphere encourages a sense of mastery and growth. In each room of Nurture House, you'll find tools of the play therapist’s trade, such as sand, art materials, clay, toys, and other playful resources.

If you're interested in scheduling services for your child or family, or if you'd like to book us for a training or conference, please reach out to our office at (615) 656-0232 or visit our website at https://www.nurturehouse.org

Meet our Nurturer, Tiffany! 💙

Tiffany completed her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lipscomb University in May 2022. During this time, Tiffany received a specialization in Play Therapy and Expressive Arts. Before graduate school, Tiffany worked closely with children, adolescents, and young adults, helping them build their social skills and self-confidence while connecting with peers. She also has experience working with blind and autistic children within the classroom setting. While in her master’s program she gained extensive experience working with college students, adults, and families providing high quality mental health care within the Tennessee community. Tiffany has helped clients with feelings of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, and substance use.
Tiffany is passionate about working with children and their families by helping them rekindle the roots within themselves and within their own relationships.
She believes that every child and family has the power to heal through play, connection, and support, learning for the client to accept and understand their own feelings is finding the magical key that opens up the gates to the child’s inner world through self-healing. Tiffany is a candidate for LPC-MHSP. She is trained in sand tray therapy, and play therapy, and she is currently training to become certified in trauma focused play therapy. Her professional memberships include the American Counseling Association (ACA), Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Honor Society. In her free time, Tiffany enjoys yoga, hiking, baking, trying different cultural foods, and spending time with family and friends.
