Most of the information spread about snakes is false and does nothing but incite an irrational fear. There’s a difference between respecting something vs having an irrational fear of something.

This was a very difficult removal from a very old house that was being remodeled. It is not a normal occurance fo me to not be utilizing a tool but there have been a few times. Please do not try at home.

Doesn’t get much cuter in my opinion. This is a non-venomous Great Plains Rat Snake. The primary method I use to catch most venomous snakes is the hook and tail method. I only teach this with non-venomous snakes because if you can successfully read the snake and utilize the hook in a safe manner to where it doesn’t have the opportunity to bite you then you should be just fine with U.S. venomous snakes. However, it takes a long time to understand when and how this is a safe technique to use and I do not recommend it without years of experience. You want a real rodeo, try it with a water snake. 😂
