As Respiratory Therapists, We Have the Power to Shape the Future of Our Profession!
This year let’s commit to inspiring and recruiting more RTs to join our ranks. Every day, we see firsthand the incredible impact respiratory therapists have on patient care—and we know that with more of us, we can make a big impact.
We need your help to elevate our profession by reaching out, mentoring, and sharing the opportunities that await future RTs. Together, we can create pathways to recruit and inspire the next generation of respiratory therapists.
How can we make this happen?
- Promote our profession by sharing stories of what it means to be an RT
- Support HOSA and get involved with schools to spark student interest
- Mentor students and guide them through the credential process
- Advocate for RT recognition at every level, so future professionals see the importance of our work
Check out AARC’s resources for ideas on how to actively promote and elevate respiratory care. Let’s grow our community and continue to make a difference—one breath at a time. 🌬️

"Hello all, please find below a flyer with updated venue information for Dr. Bal's family visitation hours this coming Friday. The event will now take place at
Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home in Canfield."

It is with great sadness that I post the following.
Dr Bal served as the medical director for the respiratory care program here at Youngstown State University for may years, spending countess hours not only in the clinical setting but in the classroom as well by helping students and faculty unmasked the many faces of disease of the Cardio-pulmonary system. His dedication to societal health and humanity was unwavering and his quest for excellence was undaunted.
He will be sadly missed by the countless individuals that were touched by his unwavering kind heart, good will, compassion and expertise.
