The Optical Place has been serving Sudbury and the surrounding communities for over 40 years. It is a family owned business, now in it's second generation. We can provide fashionable,quality,affordable eye wear to all members of the family. We take pride in the fact that we recently received a 100% overall satisfaction rating in the Boston Consumers' Checkbook magazine, scoring #1 out of 20 optical retailers west of 128!

I am very happy to announce that as of Friday 6/30, I will be retiring and closing The Optical Place. On behalf of the Michels family, I would like to sincerely thank all of our loyal customers and friends for supporting our family business for the past 49 years. My parents Karl and Gigi Michels opened the business in 1974. I joined them in 85 and we have proudly served Sudbury and the surrounding area, for several families 2 and 3 generations of eyeglass wearers. I recently bought a house on the south coast of Massachusetts and am going to fulfill my dream of living on the ocean.
