Preparing for your appointment is just as important as attending it. Bring your medical records, current medication list, and symptom logs, or ask your primary care provider to send them ahead of time. For follow-up appointments, make sure to note any symptoms since your last visit, even if they seem unrelated. They could be important and may require attention from other specialists.

Come prepared with questions to make the most of your time. Remember, we’re here to help, and you’re not alone in managing your condition. Being open and honest helps us better understand your needs and provide the best possible care for you.

If you are experiencing a persistent change in your bowel habits or if you have any signs of IBD, our board-certified specialists can help. Call our office at 440-352-9400 or visit our website to request your appointment today!

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) refers to chronic conditions that cause inflammation in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. The two main types are Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

Symptoms of IBD often resemble those of other GI conditions, including abdominal pain, changes in bowel movements, fatigue, and weight loss. If symptoms persist for more than a few days, it's important to seek medical advice. Diagnosis typically involves blood tests, stool tests, and procedures like endoscopy or colonoscopy.
