PsyCare

PsyCare Operating 6 outpatient offices helping individuals & families overcome difficult emotional problems.

PsyCare operates seven conveniently located outpatient offices in Northeastern Ohio that are dedicated to assisting individuals and families to overcome difficult emotional, behavioral, mental and relationship problems. PsyCare is committed to providing the very best treatment services possible — in a comfortable setting, personalized to the client’s needs and circumstances, and delivered by highly competent and caring clinicians. Commitment to excellence is reflected by PsyCare’s “Gold Seal of Approval” awarded by The Joint Commission, requiring adherence to very high standards of care. The mission of The Joint Commission is “to continuously improve healthcare for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating healthcare organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.” PsyCare is the only outpatient behavioral organization in the Mahoning Valley to achieve this distinction. PsyCare was founded in 1985 by three local psychologists and, due to its hard-earned reputation for quality service, grew to its current nine offices, serving clients in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties. We are a multi-disciplinary staff, consisting of well-qualified medical staff and therapists. The medical staff includes adult and child psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and clinical nurse specialists. Counseling and psychotherapy services are provided by clinical psychologists, clinical social workers and licensed counselors. We also provide specialized Consumer Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) and IFAST services to Medicaid clients requiring intensive assistance.

Therapy isn’t scary. The stigma is. 💙

Below are some of the most common reasons people avoid going to therapy—yet behind each reason is often something deeper: fear of vulnerability, cost, stigma, time, or uncertainty about what therapy is really like. But the truth is—mental health care is strength, not weakness. Therapy isn’t just for a crisis. It’s a safe space to process, heal, and grow. Just like we care for our bodies, we can care for our minds.

The summer may be over, but the growth is just beginning! ☀️ We're so proud to recap an incredible summer program where our amazing Campbell City Schools kiddos focused on mental health, building resilience, and developing powerful coping skills. From collaborative teamwork to practicing empathy and lifting each other up, every challenge was an opportunity to grow stronger, together.

At LaCroft Elementary , East Liverpool City Schools summer group program, members learned about the importance of identity. Group members explored their own identity by creating masks that represent specific characteristics about themselves and each other using modality of art therapy. They ended the session by watching the Disney film “Turning Red,” which explores themes of identity, growing up, and how to handle pent up emotions.

🌿 August is National Wellness Month! 🌿
The concept of self-care encompasses various practices aimed at holistic well-being, including physical exercise, healthy eating, mindfulness, stress reduction techniques, and more. Intentional Self-care and whole-person wellness is a personal and subjective concept but the underlying idea of taking deliberate actions to care for oneself physically, mentally, and emotionally remains central.
Your wellness matters—every single part of it. 💚

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to start, there’s a calendar below but you can always contact any of our PsyCare offices to help you find balance and build habits that support the life you want to live.
