🫐📚 **Growing Curiosity with Blueberries!

Members of the Meeker County Farm Bureau recently read "I Love Blueberries!" by Anderson to a local homeschool group. The story introduces students to how food is grown, including hydroponics, where plants like blueberries can be grown using water and nutrients instead of soil.

It was a fun way to spark conversations about growing food, agriculture, and the important role farmers play. Activities like this highlight Meeker County's and Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation"s commitment to agricultural literacy, helping young learners better understand where their food comes from.

A big thank you to Simply Good in Litchfield, MN for hosting the Meeker County Farm Bureau Board of Directors meeting! ☕🌾

We truly appreciate the warm hospitality and welcoming space for our board to gather and discuss ways to advocate for our local agriculture, support our local farmers and community.

It was our pleasure to present Simply Good with a Farm Bureau sign for display and a Farm Bureau membership as a small token of our appreciation. Be sure to stop in, grab a great cup of coffee, and support a local business that supports agriculture!

Congratulations Matt Johnson Outstanding Friend of Young Farmers and Ranchers award and the Golden Pitchfork award.
The Outstanding Friend of Young Farmers & Ranchers is presented to someone who goes the extra mile to support, mentor, and champion the next generation of leaders.
Receiving this award this year is someone who is always first to answer the call when the YF&R program needs a volunteer, including serving several times on many levels as a discussion meet judge. He has also made great efforts to support the YF&R program and youth programs in his county, establishing a scholarship program for FFA students and supporting members of the Herd program.
Our recipient this year is Matt Johnson of Meeker County

We're very excited to celebrate the grand opening of the Mini Sota Agricultural Children's Museum

📣 Grand Opening Update!

Mini Sota Agricultural Children’s Museum is officially moving our Grand Opening to Friday, December 19. This extra time allows us to finish construction and put the final touches on our interactive exhibits so your family can enjoy the full, high-quality experience we’ve been planning!

“Postponing our opening was a difficult but necessary decision,” says Executive Director Kari Goldschmidt. “We want families to walk into a complete, safe, and fully immersive space.”

🎉 Our Grand Opening celebration will include a ribbon cutting, first look at the exhibits, and time to meet our Founder, Board of Directors, and staff. More details coming soon!

Thank you to our amazing community for your patience and excitement as we prepare to welcome you into this new destination for learning, playing, and exploring together. ❤️

Women play a vital role in American agriculture—contributing through production, advocacy, education, and entrepreneurship, while also strengthening rural communities through leadership and outreach. According to the most recent Census of Agriculture, women make up more than one-third of all U.S. farm operators and are increasingly leading in farm management, agribusiness, research, and advocacy.
The national Women in Agriculture Study will explore women’s leadership and involvement across the industry, identify barriers and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to strengthen engagement and support systems. This study offers a unique opportunity to highlight the significant role women play in driving innovation, leadership, and engagement in agriculture both today and for generations to come
