For those of you who know Roger Weaver, you remember that he and his wife moved from Atlanta to Bernard NC a few years ago. I talked to him this morning and they are okay. He has water. The neighbors are banding together to clear the roads. They have generators and chain saws. We pray for the people in west North Carolina and their safe recovery.

Out doing animal welfare audits this week. Not used to being out in 100 degree weather and I was in some extremely hot areas of the plant today doing my checks. I started getting tunnel vision. A manager asked if I was okay and I wasn’t. They immediately helped me to a cool office and called the nurse. BP was okay, blood sugar was okay, but she determined that I was dehydrated. I want to remind everyone to take in extra fluids; nonalcoholic with no caffine. Be extra careful during this extreme heat.
