Neema shared this reflection after the last free Yoga Nidra weekend event. Yoga Nidra offered her a space to slow down, to feel, and to reconnect with herself through presence rather than effort. This is medicine.

As a physician, I’ve seen people pursue endless supplement protocols, interventions, and restrictive diets—often leaving them more depleted rather than restored. In Yoga Nidra, when we quiet the mind, the energy once spent chasing external solutions becomes available for the body’s innate repair.

If you’re curious to experience this for yourself, I invite you to join me this Saturday and Sunday for the next event: Free Weekend Rejuvenation —1 hour of Yoga Nidra on January 17th and January 18th.

Your nervous system isn’t meant to stay calm all the time. It’s meant to move — between alertness, rest, and repair. An adaptable system knows how to return. That flexibility is the foundation of resilience.

Yoga Nidra gently retrains this rhythm — inviting your body to return to homeostasis. If you would like to learn more about my self-paced Yoga Nidra program offerings, visit jiyahealth.com.

Your nervous system is meant to move. Between activation and rest. Between doing and pausing. Health isn’t about staying calm all the time. It’s about capacity — the ability to rise, settle, and recover with ease.

What I repeatedly see in clinic is that when symptoms persist despite best efforts, the root issue is often a nervous system that has lost its capacity to adapt. When adaptability is present, the system can meet stress without becoming stuck. This is resilience. And resilience IS the foundation of health. Yoga Nidra beautifully supports your nervous system in the process.

Yoga Nidra offered Dee a place to return — to her body, to herself, during a season that felt challenging. This is what the practice can hold: a supportive environment, steady guidance, and the ability to train your nervous system even during hard times.

As we move into a new year, many people reflect on what they want more of in their lives : deeper connection, strong health, clearer focus, and more restorative sleep.

All of these begin with the nervous system. When your system has the capacity to shift between states with greater ease, life feels more spacious, more grounded, and more connected from within.

If you’d like to learn more about how Yoga Nidra supports creating an adaptable nervous system, visit jiyahealth.com.

Wishing you a gentle transition into the new year. May 2026 bring more alignment, clarity, and joy.

Yoga Nidra can create a gentle spaciousness for the system — a place where racing thoughts soften, the body feels held, and awareness becomes a pathway to compassion rather than judgment.

Stress doesn’t just impact how we feel emotionally — it also affects how every organ works. Understanding these physiological responses can help us support the body with more intention and awareness.

Yoga Nidra offers a structured way for the nervous system to soften, unwind, and reset, which can influence how the body responds to stress over time. A strong brain–body connection helps us sense what our system needs, understand how emotions show up physiologically, and build flexibility in how we respond. These simple practices support deeper awareness and a more adaptable nervous system over time.
