Im Jordan, a Registered Nutrition & Dietetic Technician through the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, a Certified Personal Trainer & Health Coach. I am not your typical trainer who uses moves and routines passed down through the ages, or whatever happens to sound good at the time. I have spent countless hours researching new techniques, routines, different movements and different philosophies which result in maximum results, and unmistakable gains to strength, conditioning, stamina, and all around mental fortitude. A quote from Dan Gable says: “After wrestling, everything else comes easy.” That may be true, but my workouts are definitely far from easy. I workout differently, and I get different results. New Years resolution: Break down all the fear mongering around food in 2026.

The current trend: Telling you the reason you're gaining weight is because you include smoothies in your routine.

Yes, smoothies tend to be:
⭕️ Higher in natural and/or added sugars
⭕️ Can be less filling that eating an actual meal
⭕️ Depending on ingredients, they can be loaded with calories

But, they can also be:
✅ High in vitamins & minerals
✅ Additional fiber in your routine
✅ Add to your daily fluid intake

When we look at what we eat, we need to consider the pros & cons.

Will this be the only way you get a serving of fruits & veggies in?
Do you not have time to eat & this is the one way you can get something in?
Are you struggling to get your protein in & enjoy the taste of smoothie with protein powder?

No food is bad food, in moderation.

What a wild year it’s been both for my business + personal life.

Here’s a few wins that happened in 2025:
💍 I got to say yes to forever with my best friend
🚍 We purchased our first toy hauler which lead to so many adventures
🏋🏽‍♀️ We finished building my studio gym
💰 I hit a full roster of both inperson + online clients for the first time ever + started a wait list

A huge thank you to all client, current & past, that allow me to get up everyday & do what I love. There’s no way any of this would have been possible without all your love + support

Looking for a way to incorporate more health this year with less hassle?

Microhabits as great thing to add to your routine without adding additional stress.

So, what exactly are micro habits? Microhabits are small actions that we can add into our routine that don't add any additional stress to it.

One thing I like to chat with clients about is adding health, not taking away life. Doing this, just generally makes the whole process more enjoyable, but we're also more likely to stick to the routine long term. Adding in micro habits is a great way to do this.

We live in such a fast pace world. Everything has to be ASAP.

Because of this, this same idea tends to transfer over when we think about our health & fitness goals. We tend to overlook the fact that changes happen over a long period of time.

When starting your fitness journey, you may think maybe the scale should be moving faster than anticipated or the inches should be shedding off like crazy.

You may hit a point in your fitness journey where your progress begins to hit a plateau & you see results start to slow.

THIS IS ALL NORMAL.

In fact, when we look at sustainability & longevity of what you are trying to implement, slow progress is still progress. Slow progress is also likely to be GOOD progress.

Think about it like this: We would much rather have gradual progress with long term success over fast progress with long term failure.

So many times I see people going to the gym, doing the dang thing …. But only going through the motions.

When we think about what it takes to make progress, part of it includes pushing past what’s comfortable. & many times, going through the motions is what feels comfortable.

This year, make it a priority to push past those comfort levels. Add a few more reps (so you really hit failure), increase the weight (so it feels scary). You do the hard things.


I promise, your body is not weak. It can handle a little stress. A little extra load. In fact, that’s what creates results.

Subtle holiday reminder…

Just because we are indulging at times, DOES NOT mean that we have to completely cut at other times.

You don’t have to starve yourself for an extra glass of whatever you prefer.

You don’t have to skip a meal to eat a few extra cookies.

You don’t need to workout extra hard to make up for your calories.

FAT LOSS VS. WEIGHT LOSS

We’ve all heard someone say that they have lost a crazy amount of weight in a short time period & we stop & think, “what are we doing wrong?”

Truth be told, some of that weight loss is likely not FAT loss.

For fat loss to occur, we need to make sure the body is in a calorie deficit, a pretty significant one in fact. One that you likely won’t lose 12 pounds in 1 week on.

So what other factors could be playing a role in you seeing weight loss:
🔅 Nutrition
🔅 Hydration levels
🔅 Stress
🔅 Hormones

If weight loss is occurring over a longer time period, it can definitely be fat loss, however if we’re dropping 10lbs in 3 days, it is likely just general weight loss.
