This past weekend I took an Assess & Correct class from .

We touched up on orthopedic range of motion, periosteal pain points, rest postures and more.
The course was loaded with information and made sense of the pain and imbalances of the body. Danny was great about filling the mind with possiblilites and ideas of find the 'what & why', as well as simplifying the ways for the 'how'. I would definitely recomend this course to all my body work peers.

The human body is fascinating and healing my passion. Giving the best care to all of my clients is #1. That is why I seek out the best instructors/courses/seminars in my profession. I will forever be a student.

Let's talk about the Scalenes.

This is a group of 3 muscles in the neck (anterior, middle and posterior) that can get very tight. Especially when having crappy posture such as rounded upper back, rounded shoulders and forward head posture.

As a result these tight muscles can compress the nerves, sometimes even the veins and arteries that passing through the Scalenes. This causes tingling and numbness down the arms to the fingers.

If you experience pain, numbness, tingling, burning down your arm while sleeping on your side or having your arms over your head. Most likely is due to the scalene muscles being tight.

In the last picture, notice how the Scalenes hook onto the the first and second rib. When pulled tight, it can elevate the ribs and cause other difficulties.

The Psoas Muscle is so often neglected‼

It is the only muscle to cross 3 zones, (lumbar, pelvis and hips) therefore It is often a cause or a contributor to lower back pain, pelvic instability and issues with maintaining a neutral spine.

The psoas is generally tight in most people, especially if you sit for long periods of time due to the hip flexors being stuck in a shortened position.

If you have back pain, hip pain or even knee pain, relaxing the psoas may give you immediate relief and help neutralize the spine
