Occipital Neuralgia & the Atlas Subluxation Complex

Occipital Neuralgia can feel like:
⚡ Sharp pain at the base of the skull
⚡ Radiating pain behind the eyes

These symptoms come from irritation or compression of the occipital nerves — the nerves that run from the top of your neck into your scalp.

The Atlas (C1) sits directly beneath the skull and surrounds the brainstem. When it shifts out of its normal position — what we call the Atlas Subluxation Complex — it can create:
