Lessons from the Garden: Unbinding the Roots
In the garden, growth is a natural instinct. Seeds break open, roots reach deep, and branches stretch toward the sun. But sometimes, a plant becomes root-bound—its roots tangle in tight circles, constrained by the pot it's outgrown. No matter how much sunlight or water it receives, its growth slows. It struggles, not because it lacks potential, but because it lacks space.
We’re not so different.
When our foundations—our beliefs, habits, or relationships—become too tight, too familiar, or too limiting, they can hold us back from thriving. We might be doing all the "right" things on the surface, but deep down, we feel stuck. Overextended. Unfulfilled.
The remedy? Loosening the roots. Gently unraveling the systems we've outgrown. It’s uncomfortable at first, but it's a necessary disruption that makes expansion possible.
The garden teaches us: growth requires room. And sometimes, healing begins by breaking free from what once held us.
What are you unbinding yourself from right now?
