Today BSU attended the Maternal Mental Health Summit & Luncheon hosted by The Partnership Center and the American Psychological Association. So many inspiring voices and stories were shared today!

This is my favorite "cereal". It's good for your gut biome and vaginal flora.

Yogurt - fermented foods are great probiotics that help healthy bacteria to thrive in your intestines; this reduces your risk of yeast infection!

Blueberries - provide antioxidants to encourage a healthy immune system

Strawberries - also great source of antioxidants as well as great for lowering cholesterol!

Granola - adds flavor and texture while adding fiber to help with healthy bowel movements

You can add a little sugar or syrup if you like for added sweetness but not too much!!

Happy Black Maternal Health Week! We are excited for this week and so grateful for the opportunity to connect and support so many black birthworkers in a time such as this!! We are equally, if not more excited to be part of this wonderful work towards advancing black maternal health and strengthening our communities.

With that said, tune in tomorrow for our first event for where our founder joins Layo George from Wolomi and Stephanie Spencer from Urban Baby Beginnings to talk about the importance of supporting Black birthing families in our communities.
