Good Morning, I have a challenge for you all. For anyone looking to make changes in their journey to lose weight and see the version of you that you want to see start to make its way to your reality my challenge is this.
Background of this challenge; so when I started my journey to get healthier and stay healthier there were only 3 things I did. And these things I wanna share with you and challenge you to truly and really I really do this for yourselves.
What I did was:
• 1. I stopped drinking soda (this one was hard and it was a big positive change).
Result: I lost so much visual stomach bloating and lost a large % of my weight just with this change.
• 2. I started drinking a lot more water.
Process: I started by taking my weight in pounds and targeted my first phase to drink 1/4 of my body weight in ounces of water.
Example: at the time I was 35 lbs over weight. I committed to start by drinking a liter and a half every day for 2 weeks.
Next I started to drink 2 liters of water per day for 2 weeks. I chose 2 week increments to start because it can be overwhelming to make big changes so I chose medium grade changes.
Result: I noticed I started to have much needed natural energy that I didn’t expect to gain. My organ function improved. I noticed small improvements in my stomach starting to slim a bit.
After a few months of drinking 2 liters of water per day I noticed I lost about 7 pounds and was feeling a lot better.
Next progression in my water drinking journey was I graduated to drinking half of my body weight in ounces of water. After a few months of this along with continuing to not drink soda the improvements were amazing. My skin started to not be so dry and flaky and itchy.
But I also noticed a larger amount of belly fat falling off.
Now along with this I was getting into the gym maybe 2 days a week roughly about an hour workout each day. I made sure to do some type of work out while losing weight so that I was able to keep from having to feel like my skin was hanging off of me.
My next progression was drinking my body weight in ounces of water.
And you will see in the pics my before and after. It’s a huge change.
I know what you’re thinking ladies. “It’s a lot easier for a guy to lose unwanted weight.”
That’s only partly true because yes women have typically and not always hormonal things going on that they may not be aware and that’s fair.
But try this challenge at the worst you will be drinking the kind of water your body needs to function at its most optimal levels and if weight doesn’t fall of and if hormonal issues still seem to cause issues get with your doctor and see what they suggest as far as hormonal therapies go.
• 3. Start finding a way to get 30 minutes of exercise a day in. Find things you like to do (walking or playing with your dog, playing with your kids outside, riding a bike, hiking, walking at lunch break, jogging). Find something that is fun for you and that will get your heart rate up and help you break a bit of a sweat.
Find ways to make getting active fun for you, however that looks.
This is my 30 day challenge to you all. Try it. Worst case scenario you feel better have more natural energy and lose some fat. Nothing to lose on this one. And yet you could gain everything.
Last tip: with your water drinking journey make sure to pick the right kind of water. Spring water is the best option because it feeds your body the natural minerals it needs.
Stop drinking purified water and distilled water mainly because it robs your body of those natural minerals your body needs. Distilled and purified water is for cleaning machine parts for like asthma machines and baby pacifiers. Spring water and alkaline water is a good choice but alkaline water is better for just rebalancing your bodies ph.
I wanna hear your thoughts and I wanna see and hear about your results with this challenge.
Trust me it will change your life.
Health is wealth so let’s all get rich.
Peace and blessings my beautiful people.
