Taking a seat to stay in the game. š”ļøāØ
Iām officially moving to the Injured Reserve (IR) list for the next two weeks. Following my surgery, Iāve had to make a hard pivot from ādoing it allā to āhealing it all.ā
As a coach and a ābusy body,ā sitting still is the hardest workout Iāve ever done. But Iām prioritizing my recovery the same way I prioritize my training: with intention.
For the next 14 days, my āstatsā look like this:
⢠Hydration: Hitting my water goals daily. š§
⢠Nutrition: Fueling with high-protein plant-based meals, tons of fresh veggies, and complex carbs (like this amazing Mezeh bowl!) to repair tissue. š„
⢠Movement: Strict āWalking Onlyā protocol. No lifting, no straining, just the recovery shuffle. š¶āāļø
Sometimes the strongest move you can make isnāt pushing throughāitās knowing when to sit out so you can come back better. See you guys from the sidelines! š”ļøāØ
