A new month and a new mission.

Lately, I’ve been open about the struggle—navigating the side effects of medications that feel like a metabolic wall and fighting through the daily fatigue.

As a personal trainer, it’s frustrating when your body doesn’t reflect the work you’re putting in.

But this photo reminds me: ā€˜And still I rise.’

I’m stepping into this month not just as a trainer, but as an advocate for mental health and su***de prevention.

šŸ“ˆ Sometimes the numbers don’t move, but the reflection does! Taking photos is so important because it captures the progress your mind might try to overlook on the tough days.

I definitely need to jump back into this same outfit soon for a side-by-side—nothing proves the work like seeing how those same clothes fit differently now! šŸ’ŖšŸ½āœØ

Taking a seat to stay in the game. šŸ›”ļøāœØ

I’m officially moving to the Injured Reserve (IR) list for the next two weeks. Following my surgery, I’ve had to make a hard pivot from ā€œdoing it allā€ to ā€œhealing it all.ā€

As a coach and a ā€œbusy body,ā€ sitting still is the hardest workout I’ve ever done. But I’m prioritizing my recovery the same way I prioritize my training: with intention.

For the next 14 days, my ā€œstatsā€ look like this:
• Hydration: Hitting my water goals daily. šŸ’§
• Nutrition: Fueling with high-protein plant-based meals, tons of fresh veggies, and complex carbs (like this amazing Mezeh bowl!) to repair tissue. šŸ„—
• Movement: Strict ā€œWalking Onlyā€ protocol. No lifting, no straining, just the recovery shuffle. šŸš¶ā€ā™€ļø

Sometimes the strongest move you can make isn’t pushing through—it’s knowing when to sit out so you can come back better. See you guys from the sidelines! šŸ›”ļøāœØ
