La'Trista’s ideal birthday? On a plane headed somewhere new, and if she’s choosing, it’s Santorini, Greece.

Fun fact: before her work in mental health, she was a hairstylist, so helping people feel their best has always been part of who she is.

And when it’s time to celebrate, it’s all about the sweet treats, especially her aunt’s caramel cake or a salted caramel cookie from Insomnia.

Beyond the birthday vibes, LaTrista is a dedicated clinician who works with adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma, with a deep passion for providing meaningful, culturally relevant care to the African American community.

She is committed to helping heal intergenerational trauma and empowering women and children to build strong self-worth and confidence—living out her motto: “Embrace your Slayage and Rip Life’s Runway.”

Our CEO, Alexis Jones, had the honor of serving as a panelist and workshop facilitator at The Girl in the Mirror, an elevated Women’s History Month brunch focused on confidence, wellness, and the journey of becoming. 💚

The specially curated event by .realtor created space for honest conversations about overcoming impostor syndrome, financial well-being, personal style, and overall wellness, along with moments of deep reflection. There was even a Confidence Runway walk led by . The entire event was a powerful reminder of how important it is to invest in the whole woman. There was something truly special about gathering with women who were open, vulnerable, and committed to growth.

During the journaling workshop, the ladies were guided to reconnect with the “girl in the mirror,” their younger selves. It created space to acknowledge past experiences, release negative narratives rooted in childhood, and begin building a more compassionate and affirming relationship with themselves.

There were tears. There was release. There was healing.

Moments like these remind us that while growth is not always easy, it is always worth it. We’re grateful to have been part of such a powerful experience.

Her passion lies in helping people navigate emotional pain and find their way toward healing and renewal.
