Did you know: Water safety isn't just for summertime at pools and beaches!
Water safety should be done near any source of water, like splash pads, wading pools, water tables, buckets, and bathtubs.
Tips for keeping kids safe near the water:
1. Always have a "water watcher" who is paying attention and within arm's reach of the child
* "Water watchers" should be 18 or older, and must not be distracted or under the influence of any alcohol or drugs.
2. When you're finished with the water, empty standing sources of water when possible. If not, make sure the water source is locked or blocked off.
3. Consider taking a First Aid / CPR class.
4. Consider swim lessons for your child (or yourself!)
