Our Story
Clark-Lindsey is the area’s premier retirement community for today’s accomplished adults. Established in 1978, it is the first and only 501(c)3 not-for-profit Life Plan Community in Champaign County. Clark-Lindsey invests in its mission each day, “To engage the mind, spirit, and body in wellness and community so that older adults may thrive.” Located on 27 acres in southeast Urbana, on the edge of the University of Illinois campus, Clark-Lindsey offers apartment and villa living in The Village, in which no medical assistance is provided by Clark-Lindsey. There are 131 apartments and 16 villas. Meadowbrook Health Center at Clark-Lindsey provides short-term and residential skilled nursing care, accommodating up to 93 individuals. Private and semi-private rooms are available. Of these rooms, 37 are Medicare-certified. All of our Medicare-certified accommodations are private. Renewal Therapy Center provides inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies. Clark-Lindsey’s expansive Wellness Center includes an indoor pool, fitness gym and massage and meditation space. Two Green House Homes are located on Clark-Lindsey’s south side. One is assisted living specializing in memory care and the other is licensed skilled care. Clark-Lindsey is governed by an 12-member Board of Directors. Day-to-day operations are overseen by a management staff.
