Motherhood is amazing, a blessing, and the most rewarding thing Iโve ever done.
It is also the biggest responsibility and the most difficult thing Iโve ever done.
The fact of the matter is, ๐๐๐กโ๐๐โ๐๐๐ ๐๐ โ๐๐๐.
Admitting that doesnโt mean Iโm not grateful to be a mom, because there isnโt a single day that I donโt feel gratitude.
Declaring that doesnโt mean that I donโt feel honored to be a mom, because I know what a privilege it is.
Accepting that doesnโt mean that I donโt love my daughter, because I love her with every ounce of my being.
Motherhood is hard. Period.
We can acknowledge the feelings of overwhelm, exhaustion, and frustration, without always having to acknowledge how wonderous it is.
We need to be open and honest about the messiness of motherhood, without feeling guilt or shame.
Because the reality is that ๐๐๐กโ๐๐โ๐๐๐ ๐ผ๐ โ๐๐๐.
If you are having a bad day, week, or season of motherhood, that is okay.
If you are not savoring every minute of motherhood, that is okay.
If you are counting down the hours until bedtime, that is okay.
If you miss the days of life before kids, that is okay.
If you put your kid on the iPad or in front of the TV so you could get a break, that is okay.
That doesnโt make us bad moms.
๐ผ๐ก ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ ๐ป๐๐๐ด๐.
Let's discuss the struggles of motherhood without feeling the need to add positivity.
Because when we are honest about how hard it is, that takes some of the weight off our already overburdened shoulders.

๐๐๐บ๐ป ๐ผ๐.
It allows us to come out the other side, so we can dust ourselves off, straighten ourselves up, and be better moms to our kids.
Motherhood Is hard.
Because taking care of another human being is an enormous responsibility.
Motherhood is incredibly hard.
