Dilation drops can be a nuisance: sensitivity to light, blurry vision up close, and burning right after administration.

Retinal imaging is an alternative to conventional dilation drops. With imaging, a camera photographs your eye’s optical nerve, retina, and blood vessels non-invasively. The only thing you’ll see is a large flash of light!

We offer both traditional dilation drops and retinal imaging at our patients’ discretion. In your eye appointment, a technician will discuss with you the advantages and drawbacks of each to determine which is best for your circumstances.
