A common misconception about Medicaid is that it’s only for people who aren’t working. However, a 2023 analysis from KFF found that nearly two-thirds of adults aged 19-64 covered by Medicaid are employed.
People with intellectual and developmental disabilities are eager to contribute and be recognized as valuable members of society. In many cases, Medicaid funds the employment services they need to thrive in the workforce.
